We are mindful that our new parents may well be in the process of relocating to another city, country or continent, therefore The British School Quito Admissions Process is designed to be as simple and flexible as possible to release the added burden for parents. Please see below our step by step guide.

We look forward to welcoming you to BSQ. During your first visit, we will:

  • Discuss your child’s educational needs and suitability for our school and curriculum
  • Answer any specific questions you may have regarding the Admissions procedure, our curriculum, school routines and timetables, after school activities, transport, etc.
  • It is important to us that during this visit you acquire as much information about our school as possible to ensure you are making the right choice for your child.

On receipt of the completed admissions forms and supporting documents, the Head of Section will assess the student’s suitability for our educational provision. If the student meets the requirements for testing, we will organise an interview with the Head of Section and an assessment. • Re-evaluate the student at a future date (maximum three months after first evaluation, family to be given clear targets of what student must improve before re-evaluation)

STEP 4.- Results

Providing that there is a place available for your child, and that they meet the Admissions criteria, our Director will provide an official offer for your child. The admissions coordinator will contact the family of the applicant within 72 hours after the assessment and interview has taken place to advise them about the results of the evaluation process and the decision made regarding their admittance.

As an educational institution, our first priority is ensuring that a student accepted through our admissions process will benefit from our educational project and will be a positive member of our community. Therefore, the British School Quito reserves the right to deny admission to any child who does not meet the school’s admission requirements or when admission into the school is not considered to be in the best interests of the child.
