Ahead of your visit you may also want to take a Virtual Campus Tour
STEP 3: Start your Application
When you are ready to apply for a place for your child(ren) at BSQ, you will need to submit your application. Our admissions team will provide you with the application form, which you will need to fill out and return. When you request your application form, it is worth noting that the supporting documents below will be required as part of the application process. If you are applying for a place for more than one child, you will have to compelete an application form for each child.
Supporting documents
- Copy of the applicant passports or Ecuadorian Cedula
- Copy of the applicant parents’ passports or Ecuadorian Cedula
- The two last school reports (from Y2 and above)
- A Financial Declaration or Work Certificate
STEP 4: Assessment and Interview
Once a completed application form and all supporting documents have been received, our Head of Section will review the application to ensure that BSQ is well equipped to provide a learning environment in which the child can flourish.
If the application is successful at this stage, our Admissions Team will arrange an assessment. Assessments vary depending on the age of the child, as different approaches are needed to ensure each student can access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
For most students, the assessment process includes:
- A supportive interview with the student, conducted by the Head of Section or the School Counsellor. For our youngest students, this is designed to be fun and engaging.
- A conversation with parents to share more about the school and learn more about the child. This may be conducted by the Head of Section, Admissions Coordinator, or Director.
- Students from Year 3 upwards will also complete a CAT4 assessment, helping us ensure they can effectively access our curriculum.
Step 5: Offer Letter
A member of the Admissions Team will contact you within 72 hours of your child completing their assessment. Once both the family and the school are confident that British School Quito is the right environment for your child, we will issue a formal offer of a place.
Once the offer has been signed and returned, all that remains is to warmly welcome you and your child to the BSQ community.
