It has been widely published in the World media that the 2022 Cambridge Board grades would be lower than 2021. We are very proud to announce that with an incredible 38% A*-A at iGCSE our results have not dropped at all. In 2021, 55% of students achieved at least 5 iGCSEs including English and Maths (UK 52%) . This year, 75% of BSQ students have achieved that important international marker.

PrincipalDavid JonesI am absolutely delighted with our externally assessed examination results. Not only did we achieve an IB Diploma pass rate of 95%, the percentage of students scoring A*/A at IGCSE was almost 10% higher than the international average. These results reflect the hard work and dedication of teachers and students at BSQ, all of whom we are very proud.

Head of SecondaryLee MoorsOur students have once again excelled in their achievements at BSQ this year, with IB Diploma and IGCSE scores significantly above world averages. This is the first cohort to sit full examinations since the pandemic, overcoming all challenges with resilience and teamwork, either meeting or achieving beyond their predicted grades. This is a fantastic achievement! Even more so when one recognises that 73% of our students excelled with at least 1 A*/A grade. Well done to all of IGCSE and Diploma students, we wish you the very best of success with your next steps.
At British School Quito, we pride ourselves on delivering the best of British education, this is indeed one of the reasons parents choose our school. The successes of this summer have yet again set high expectations for our incoming cohorts and we look forward to inspiring, challenging and supporting our next group of examination students throughout their studies with us.
A fantastic start to the 2022-23 academic year!
